This is a fantastic vintage indigo cotton fireman's hanten jacket.Fireman's jackets are usually made of very tough cotton for their work but this is a quite light weight hanten jacket.Kanji lettering on lapel says ‘Tahara keibodan ( Tahara fire team ) 田原警防団’ and the jacket also has wonderful graphic character of the fire team logo and pattern which is dyed in katazome (stencil dyeing) at the bottom and the back. This jacket has a inside pocket .
It would be stunning to use as an unique jacket and also great display as a decorative piece for a room.
It has certain wear and flaws including holes, frays and marks. Enjoy real vintage folk textile taste of Japan! Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'.
