This is a beautiful kinsha (fine crepe) silk haori jacket which has a soft and smooth touch in a good quality of silk with enchanting yuri (lily), tachibana (mandarin orange), ayame (iris) and hana ikada (floral raft) design in light mint green. It has a beautiful classic Japanese jacquard design and charming bold plum flower design in the lining. The haori is rather long length and has long sleeves which are typical of the Taisho era (early 1900s) style.
It would be stunning to wear as a smart lightweight long jacket and also as a decorative piece for a room. Tale of Genji is a really attractive antique piece.
It has marks and certain wear because of the age and subtle background colour. However Tale of Genji is such a wonderful piece. Please check the detailed photos.
