This elegant women's purple kinsha (fine crepe) silk haori kimono jacket has a soft and smooth touch in a good quality of silk with gorgeous botan (peony) floral pattern. The gradation of the purple colour at the hem is just breathtaking.
It also has glamorous classic oriental red lining with Japanese traditional patterns called sayagata (gossamer-figured pattern) design and beautiful botan (peony) flower jacquard design. It has a mon (family crest) in the centre of the back at the neck. The symbol of the mon is Ura Kikyo mon (Chinese bellflower).
It is rather long for a haori and have long sleeves which is typical of the Taisho era (early 1900s) style.
The haori jacket would be stunning to wear and display as a decorative piece for a room. Violet Garden is a really attractive antique piece.
It has certain wear and some flaws. Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'.
