This is a big girl's silk blend kimono with fantastic kiku (chrysanthemum), kaede (maple) motif and kujyaku (peacock) design. Some designs are partly decorated with pressed gold and silver metallic leaf. It has a bachi-eri (folded lapel).
I really love the design and colour of the kimono. It's definitely one of my favourites. It would be stunning to display as a decorative piece for a room. Ikebana is such a fabulous vintage piece.
As you can see the measurements on the website, it isn't a very big kimono. I'm usually a UK size 8 - 10. The kimono only just closes at the front on me. The sleeves are a little bit short but I don't think you need to worry about that much. It makes lovely long jacket for women.
It has stains and certain wear but even so it is such a charming vintage piece. Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'.
