This is a fantastic antique natural indigo dyed cotton Boro 襤褸 textile strip. The textile is hand spun and woven which has such a soft and warm feel. The indigo colour and the combination of the textile pattern are just fantastic.
The cloth is well used and some parts are repaired elaborately with a very charming and tasteful stitched and mended details. It is considered to be from c. late 1800 - early 1900. It is seriously attractive and definitely one of my favourite pieces.
It would be stunning to display as a wonderful piece of art for a room or design project works.
