This antique women’s silk kimono has an exquisite ume (plum) floral pattern and uguisu (warbler) in a glamorous purple colour. It has a beautiful fan motif jacquard design and a bachi-eri (folded lapel).

The lining of the top main part is in ivory cotton and the bottom part is in teal blue silk. The lining of the sleeves are lovely oriental red.
Originally the sleeves were longer but the previous owner preferred them taken in so there is room for long 7 cm (2 3/4”) if you'd like.

The kimono would be stunning to use as a dress and also display as a fabulous piece of art for a room. Sanctuary is an attractive and gorgeous antique piece.

It has certain wear and some flaws including marks and a couple of tiny holes on the back sleeves. It is slightly worn out with the lining of the hem getting thin. Also the kimono has been carefully repaired in a number of places around the front collar. The previous owner must have loved the kimono. Please check detail photos and 'Extra Images'.

Note: This kimono does not come with a belt. If you would like one, please check my casual obi collection on casual-obi-belt.html. Prices start from £7 or £8 for a belt.
