These vintage aprons, known as maekake 前掛け, were worn by shop workers. Made of thick cotton, the name of the store is emblazoned across the front. The background colour is indigo navy blue. It has a lovely graphic company logo.
As you can see the pictures there are prominent flaws such as marks. Please refer to the photos in the 'Extra Images'. This maekake apron has a sense of use, but it is an amazing piece to enjoy vintage taste of Japan!
The logo says ‘Taiyo-jirushi Totan-ita Kobe Shozaburo Shouten’ (Sun brand Galvanized plate store).
