This autumn rusty orange silk haori kimono jacket has a breathtaking hand drawn peacock, botan (peony), kiku (chrysanthemum), ume (plum), momiji (maple), take no ha (bamboo-leaves), matsu (pine leaves) and kasumi (mist) pattern. It looks like an art masterpiece. This design makes me nostalgic.
It has an elegant floral motif in the lining and a mon (family crests) in nape.
Some parts such as the flower cores, petals and part of the feathers are embroidered. Also some parts are decorated with highlights of gold-couching. It would be stunning to display as a decorative piece for a room.
