This is a women’s silk jyuban (underkimono) with kikyo (Chinese bellflower) in dark purple and classic pattern of seigaiha (waves), Hanabishi (flower-shaped family crest) and carriage wheels. Two different fabrics are carefully patterned and used to create this kimono to try not to waste those fabrics. I guess the original owner of the kimono loved it very much. The kimono has great antique feel. The main part of the lining is in beige silk and the bottom part in in olive silk.
It would be stunning to use as a dress and also display as a fantastic piece of art for a room. Aspects of Love is a really attractive antique piece.
It has certain wear and marks. The sleeves of the lining is partly worn out and getting thin. Please check detail photos and 'Extra Images'.
Note: This kimono does not come with a belt. If you would like one, please check my casual obi collection on casual-obi-belt.html. Prices start from £8 or £10 for a belt.
