This womens meisen sha (silk gauze) summer kimono has a fantastic colourful geometric graphic and abstract pattern like modern art piece.
The contrast of all the colours - light blue, white, red, black and light yellow with partly gold and silver stitchings is fantastic! It is so-called 'hitoe' (single lining), which means it has no lining.
Hunky Dory is definitely a special piece and fabulous for display as a piece of art for a room or also wonderful to wear.
It has certain wear and other flaws including marks, some tiny holes on the right shoulder and worn out with the fabric of the left shoulder getting thin. However it is such an amazing antique piece! Please check detail photos and 'Extra Images'.
