This is a women's silk jyuban (underkimono) which has enchanting botan (peony) and ume (plum) and decorative temari traditional Japanese handball designs that are partly embroidered in elegant pale golden beige colour. The lining is in cotton.
The kimono would be stunning to use as a dress and also display as a decorative piece for a room. My Fair Lady is a really attractive and charming antique piece.
It has certain wear and marks and is worn out with the lining of the bottom of the kimono getting thin. There are some frays of the embroidery. However the kimono has such a gorgeous design and lovely antique feel. The previous owner must have loved the kimono. Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'.
